FAQ
HOW WILL MY ART GET TO ME?
Originals and prints on paper are packaged with a cardboard backing and a protective plastic sleeve. All originals and prints are sent in a hard cardboard mailer. Applicable packages are labeled “please do not bend” to ensure your new artwork arrives to you safe and sound. Most packages are shipped via USPS or UPS.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS?
I take great care to ensure that my work is created beautifully, represented accurately online, and well protected in transit. I am unable to accept returns or cancellations at this time.
Unfortunately, I do not have control over what happens to a package once it leaves my studio. I am not responsible for any mishandling or failed delivery of the postal service.
If there are extenuating circumstances surrounding your order, please send me an email and I’m happy to work out a solution together on a case by case basis.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM SIZING for prints?
Yes! If you don’t see the size your wanting in the print listing, please contact me and I can help you get the size you need.
CAN I REQUEST A COMMISSIONED PIECE?
I've decided to take a break from commissions in order to better navigate and follow my own creative path. If commissions do become available, they will be announced first on my Newsletter, so sign up below to make sure you don't miss a thing!
HOW CAN I CARE FOR MY NEW PIECE?
Did you know that paints fade over time? Just like your favorite pair of jeans, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and inks fade as time passes, especially when exposed to direct sunlight.
Here are some tips I recommend for caring for your artwork:
- Avoid hanging artwork in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight for even one or two hours a day can dramatically decrease the lifespan of the work.
- Frame artwork to keep it protected from wear and dust. Make sure your frame’s matting, backing, and any tape used are acid free. Place artwork on paper behind UV protective glass (like this!). For art on canvas, skip the protective glass, that canvas needs to breathe!
- Keep artwork away from places they can be bent, punctured, stained, or torn. Tape can damage paper fibers and pull color away from paper, so I’d recommend passing on the tape and opt for a frame.
WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE ART WORK?
I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the collector has also purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork. To discuss purchasing the rights, contact me. The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission. If the artwork is being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit. When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.
